On July 7 this year Riga will experience a greatest in means of live electronic dance music shows in the Baltic region. The Olympic Skonto Hall will welcome the all time super successful and one of the most influential electronic music production units The Chemical Brothers on behalf of their tour celebrating the new We are the Night album.
This is special all the way for at least two more reasons - the gig in Riga is the only show the duo will do in the Baltic and Scandinavian region and one of just two of which they do in Eastern Europe. The first they will perform the day before at the Heineken festival in Poland which they will attend right after the legendary Roskilde festival in Denmark.

Now, anyone who's ever been as lucky as to experience a Chemical Brothers full-throttle live show in one of the arenas or festival venues of the world or even one who's only caught a glimpse surfing around YouTube will have no doubt to have the answer when asked of the most conceptual and grand a sound and vision technology fusion catharsis and energy explosion to witness. A live gig from the absolute leaders of electronic dance music today - a Chemical Brothers show cannot be compared to anything experienced before one.
The Chemical Brothers will arrive in Riga followed by a private cargo plane to carry several tons of this century's greatest leaps in light, sound and image projection technology which will ensure Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons to be able to present their art to the Latvian public plus guests from Estonia and Lithuania as a total phenomenon of the power of music in one night.

The Chemical Brothers engraved their name in the history of electronic music by pioneering the genre big beat - the same that would capture the whole of British club and rave culture taking up passengers from the like of the Profigy to Fatboy Slim. Though in contrast to many others of their kind the Brothers have caught the world astounded with each effort ever sinc their debut album Exit Planet Dust in 1995 to the absolute revolution on the dance floor that were Block Rockin' Beats and Setting Sun (quite ironically they got a Grammy for the single in the nomination called Best Rock Instrumental Performance) from the classic album Dig Your Own Hole destroying the bounds of electronic music and continuing their invasion on all front of pop. 1999 saw the Chemical Brothers return with a single that's still being played both on the floor and the radio called Hey Boy, Hey Girl and the album Surrender after which they shock the world again with such legendary bangers as It Began in Afrika and Star Guitar in the album Come with Us stepping into the greatest league of popstars just by "digging their own hole" which is to regularly come up with another unforgettable piece of dance music for the world to endure in up until they have another one.
The album Push the Button and especially the single Galvanize made both Brits untouchable gods of the floor, around the floor and way beyond the floor eventually leading them to the Grammy's in 2006.
And lastly the new album We are the Night is but a progression to an even higher lever - which league is no the electronic geniuses is hard to say... though even by hearing just the single Do It Again it already seems that this should be the moment of truth - that this should be the ninth wave of the Chemical invasion that's built up for more than ten years now... but then again - is that not what we always think when again the radio announces: "New from the Chemical Brothers..."
In between of invading the radio, the car stereo, the dance floor and the charts the Chemical Brothers were already long ago proclaimed as one of the world greatest to conduct an electronic live concert on the planet filling up arenas and stadiums all over the world. And at another peak of their supersuccess they have agreed to please Riga.

Information as to when the tickets to the Chemical Brothers concert in Riga go on sale will be publicized soon.
