On Saturday 15th November MN2S return to their hugely popular residency at Club Essential, Latvia for the final time this year. We’re sure that tears will be shed as the club night that’s delivered Bodyrox, Joey Negro, Dennis Ferrer and many more to the city of Riga throws its last hoo-ha of 2008. Don’t expect them to go quietly, oh no, joined by special guests Derrick Carter and Danism be prepared for a night of debauchery, dance-moves and house.

Derrick Carter. Where do you start? This man has made his mark on so many clubs and labels, it's difficult to know where to begin. It was with Mark Farina and Chris Nazuka and Tim Shumaker that Carter would produce his first big release, under the pseudonym Symbols and Instruments which was received brilliantly in the UK. It was this platform that allowed Carter to go from strength to strength and now he is widely regarded as one of the premier deep house DJs in the world. As a remixer, he has worked for a diverse range of artists including Human League, Ricky Martin, Boris Dlugosch, Modjo, DJ Sneak and Röyksopp whilst famously being the founder of a record label named Classic Recordings. It’s fair to say that Derrick Carter is a true legend and we can’t wait to for that trademark ‘Boomty Boom’ sound to tear the roof off Essential.

Joining Derrick will be our very own label artists and MN2S residents Danism. Having smashed things up at the MN2S Ibiza closing party earlier this year we advise Latvian to hold onto their hats. Danism are made up by Dan Liquid and Dan Nu:Tone Together they form a production team that is synonymous with a high a quality and innovative production sound.

Danism have worked with the likes of Monique Bingham and Xavier but it is their recent collaborations with Haze that has taken their productions, and their plaudits, to the next level. Featuring the staccato spoken word of Haze, ‘Mesmirise’ was a major club hit in 2007 and in 2008 ‘Strike’ is set to be a massive smash. Initially promoted in Miami, ‘Strike’ has subsequently gained widespread club support and has plays from Pete Tong on the ‘Essential Selection’. A genuine club smash that sounds best in its natural dance floor environment, ‘Strike’ is currently receiving support from Martin Solveig, Fedde Le Grand, The Shapeshifters and CJ Mackintosh and is getting the remix treatment from Mike Gray and Nick ‘Bodyrox’ Bridges.
